Ihave a 2011 Vauxhall Astra 1.4T. I had the rear brake pads changed on Saturday. Last night driving home from work when the hill assist electric handbrake was automatically activated when I pulled away there was a 'grinding' type noise for 3 or 4 seconds which sounded like the handbrake was sticking on until the car gathered thismay be due to the canbus system palying divvy, it done that with my side lgiths, take the bulb out, lock the car, leave a few mins unlock it and this kinda resets its and then hey presto the side lights worked, i ended up going back to 501's cause couldnt find a led set to work due to the voltage. hope this helps. My mate's just texted me saying his horn no longer works on his astra, had the same problem years ago and was fixed due to a common fault, which I got fixed due to a recall, but my mate bought this astra only months ago, so the dealer said his car wasn't in the recall list, which I'm sure it would've been under the previous owner. circlein blue for horn. circle in red for left side control on steering wheel. circle in green for right side control on steering wheel. circle in orange plug into the CIM. any broken wires will cause the horn dont work or steering wheel control doesnt work. This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old Havent replaced any bulbs and it's just the 1 side that isn't working.
